Installation
of Static Window Clings
| Step
1. When you receive the cling it should look something
like this. On this particular full color cling, the image
is facing a wax paper storage backing. The side with the
image is the cling surface. Simply peel the cling away
from the backing to reveal the outward facing image and
set aside on a flat surface. |
 |
| Step
2. Prepare the surface you are going to be applying
the cling to by cleaning it with window cleaner and wiping
it clean with a paper towel. To prepare the cling for
installation, simply lay it on a flat surface and lightly
sprinkle it with clean water. This will allow the cling
to be positioned in the correct area as well as making
it easier to remove any small bubbles that may be between
the window and the cling. |
 |
| Step
3. Position the cling on one edge in the desired location.
Finish applying by rolling the cling onto the surface
of the window from one edge to the other. Since you have
the cling wet, you should be able to fine tune your cling
position by gently sliding the cling. When you have the
cling in position you are ready to move onto step 4. |
 |
| Step
4. After you have the cling in the desired position,
take the supplied blue squeegee and smooth out the cling
by flattening the cling with the squeegee and moving from
one edge to the next. After you have removed any moisture
or air that may remain, simply clean the window of any
remaining moisture that may have been left over from installation. |
 |
| Step
5. Visually inspect the window static by looking for
bubbles, air or moisture. If any air or moisture remain,
repeat step 4. Look at your cling from several angles
and distances in order to make sure your positioning is
correct. When you are completely satisfied, you're finished!
As you can see by the image to the right, even with a
strong reflection, static clings are still highly visible. |
 |
*PLEASE
NOTE
For
vehicles or windows with more than a 7 percent window tint,
we recommend using magnetic
signs or vinyl
graphics.
